Weather Vocabulary


Cool: low in temperature, but not cold, often in a way that feels pleasant.
Chilly: cold enough to make you feel uncomfortable.
Mild: warm and pleasant.
Scorching: extremely hot.
To pour: to rain very hard.
Drizzle: to rain in a very light way.
showery: frequent short periods of rain.
Breeze: gentle wind on the beach, just enough to cool us.

Shopping vocabulary!

                           To bid for something
To offer to pay for something at an auction
                     To haggle for something
To offer to pay less than the price (especially in a market)
                     To get a bargain
To pay a low price for something good
                     To get a discount
To pay less than the original price because the seller lowers the price
                     To get a refund
To take something back to a shop and get your money back
                     To get a receipt
To get a piece of paper from the shop to prove you bought something
           To be able to afford something
To have enough money to pay for something
                     To be worth it
For something to be the value of what you paid for it
